CBSE Board 10th, 12th Result 2025 Date And Time: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has completed the Class 10th and Class 12th board exams which were held between February 15 and on April 4. Around 42 lakh students are appeared for the CBSE board exams in the 2024-25 session. This year, 24.12 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exams across 84 subjects, while 17.88 lakh students registered for the Class 12 exams covering 120 subjects. As various state boards are releasing board results for Class 10th and Class 12th, here’s when CBSE might release the results:

CBSE Board 10th, 12th Result 2025: When were scorecards released in last few years?

Following the usual pattern, the CBSE Class 10th, 12th board results are likely to be announced in May 2025. The central board declares the Class 10 and 12 results on the same day. Students can check the official CBSE websites — cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in — for the latest updates regarding the result announcement.

Over the past three years, the Class 12 results have typically been released around mid-May. In 2024, the results were declared on May 13, while in 2023, they were announced on May 12. The only exception was in 2022, when the results were delayed to July 22 due to disruptions caused by the pandemic.

In 2024, out of 16.8 lakh registered candidates, 16.6 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examinations. Of these, 14.5 lakh students successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 87.33 per cent. Trivandrum district topped the charts as the highest-performing region with an impressive 99.91 per cent pass rate.

In terms of gender performance, girls outshone boys with a pass percentage of 90.68 per cent, compared to 84.67 per cent for boys. The pass percentage among transgender students was recorded at 60 per cent. Additionally, approximately 1.25 lakh students were placed in the compartment category.

The board examinations are to test the knowledge of the students gained during the academic year. If a student has secured 33 per cent marks, student is declared pass. If any student is not able to achieve 33% marks and miss out by 01 marks or so, decision may be taken to award the grace mark(s).

Additionally, the Maharashtra school education minister Dada Bhuse said the CBSE curriculum will be implemented in the state till Class 12 by 2028. Making a statement in both houses of the state legislature, Bhuse said the new curriculum will come into force for standard one from 2025 and cover all the classes till 12th in 2028.
