To improve transparency and fairness in the post-result process, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the sequence of activities for students seeking grievance redressal for CBSE Class 10 and 12 examination results.
CBSE Board Class 10th, 12th Result 2025 Live Updates
According to the new guidelines released by the board, students will have to now first apply for a photocopy of their evaluated answer book before proceeding to the next steps — verification of marks or re-evaluation. This replaces the previous system, where verification of marks came first, followed by obtaining the photocopy and then re-evaluation.
CBSE Class 10, 12 Results: New sequence of application
1. Obtaining photocopy of evaluated answer book
2. Verification of marks or Re-evaluation or both
CBSE, while releasing the notification on this, said that this change would empower students by allowing them to review their answer sheets before requesting verification or re-evaluation. “The new system will enable students to see their evaluated answer books, providing clarity on the awarded marks, specific comments, and any possible errors before seeking further action,” CBSE said.
Candidates who have appeared for the 2025 Class 10 and 12 board exams will be able to avail themselves of this revised process once the CBSE results are declared. The board added that detailed modalities and application procedures for obtaining the photocopy and applying for verification or re-evaluation will be released soon.
This move is expected to enhance student confidence in the evaluation process and reduce unnecessary applications for re-evaluation, ensuring a more efficient and justified redressal mechanism, the board added.
Over the past three years, the Class 12 results have been released around mid-May. In 2024, the results were declared on May 13, while in 2023, they were announced on May 12.
