CBSE 12th Result Declared: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 12 board exam 2025 results. Students can now check and download their CBSE Class 12 results by visiting the official websites – cbse.gov.in. Apart from the main site, students can also access their scorecards from results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in.
This year, the overall pass percentage stands at 88.39%. Continuing the trend of recent years, girls have outperformed boys, showcasing their academic excellence. A total of 17,04,367 students registered for the examination, out of which 16,92,794 appeared, and 14,96,307 successfully passed.

The CBSE Class 12 Result 2025 recorded an overall pass percentage of 88.39%, showing a slight rise from 87.98% in 2024. Out of 17,04,367 registered students, 16,92,794 appeared, and 14,96,307 passed the examinations. Among the regions, Vijayawada emerged as the top-performing region with an impressive 99.60% pass percentage, followed by Trivandrum at 99.32% and Chennai at 97.39%.
CBSE 12th Results 2025: Steps To Download Scorecard
Step 1: Go to the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the link that says – “CBSE 12th Result 2025″.
Step 3: As a new window opens, key in your roll number, admit card ID, date of birth and other details, if required. Then click on ‘Enter’.
Step 4: The CBSE 12th Result 2025 will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Check and download the scorecard.
Students will be able to access their CBSE Class 12 digital marksheets using DigiLocker. To access the CBSE section and obtain an official result copy, you must first have a valid login.
CBSE 12th Results 2025: Passing Criteria
A student who scores 33 per cent on the CBSE exam is said to have passed. If a student fails to achieve this criterion by one mark or so, the grace mark(s) may be awarded.
On the day of the results, CBSE sends student results directly to associated schools via registered emails. Schools then print and deliver real copies to their students.
CBSE 12th Results 2025: How Many Appeared And Last Year Pass Percentage
This year, about 17.88 lakh CBSE Class 12 students appeared for the exams across 120 subjects. The exams began on February 15 and concluded on April 4 this year.
Last year’s overall Class 12 pass percentage was 87.98 per cent, which was higher than the previous year (2023). As per reports, Trivandrum was the top-performing district in the CBSE exam in 2024, with a pass percentage of 99.91 per cent.
