From Single Girl Child Scholarship to Board’s Merit Scholarship, here is a list of oppurtunities offered by CBSE that students can avail to carry on with their education

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) offers several scholarships to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in its affiliated schools, especially for board exam students. Here are some of the scholarships provided:
Single Girl Child Scholarship
Eligibility: The candidate must be pursuing her education in Class 11 and 12 in CBSE-affiliated schools. To be eligible for the scholarship scheme, all single girl students must have 70 per cent or more marks in the CBSE class 10 examination. Students whose families have a gross income of up to Rs 8 lakh per annum can apply for the scholarship.
Furthermore, the monthly tuition fee should not exceed Rs 1,500 in Class 10, with an increase of no more than 10 per cent in Class 11 and 12. Students seeking this scholarship can submit their applications via CBSE’s official website at cbse.gov.in.
Award: After being shortlisted for the scholarship, selected students will receive an amount of Rs 500 per month.
Board’s Merit Scholarship (BMS)
Eligibility: This scholarship is for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students. Students must have passed Class 10 or 12 examinations from CBSE and secured at least 85 per cent marks.
Award: An amount of Rs 12,000 per annum is offered by the board to both class 10 and 12 students.
Apart from scholarships for classes 10th and 12th students, CBSE also offers assistance for those who are set to join college. The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS) is offered to students who have ranked above the 80th percentile in the class 12 examinations of their respective boards. They must be enrolled in regular programmes (not correspondence or distance courses), belong to a family with an annual income of less than Rs 5 lakh, and not be receiving any other scholarships or fee reimbursements. Diploma candidates are not eligible.
The CBSE central sector scholarship will provide financial assistance of Rs 12,000 annually to selected candidates for the first three years. The scholarship amount will increase to Rs 20,000 per year for the fourth and fifth years.
