CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025: 1.4 lakh students in class 10 and 1.29 lakh in class 12 have been placed in the compartment category.

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 10 and 12 board exam results today. This year, 88.39% of students passed the Class 12 exams, while the Class 10 pass percentage stood at 93.66%. Despite the strong performance, 1,41,353 Class 10 students and 1,29,095 Class 12 students have been placed in the compartment category.

To provide these students with a second chance, CBSE is set to conduct the Class 10 and 12 Supplementary Examinations 2025 by mid-July, as confirmed by Examination Controller Sanyam Bharadwaj to News18. The board will soon release the detailed exam schedule, including application dates, exam fees, and other important guidelines on its official website.

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025: Who Can Apply?

Students declared as ‘Compartment’ in the 2024-25 board exams must register for the supplementary exams.

Regular students must apply through their respective schools while private students will be able to apply through the link available on the official website – cbse.gov.in.

Schools are also advised to proactively reach out to such students and guide them through the process.

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025: Steps For Schools To Apply For Regular Students:

Step 1: Log in to the CBSE portal and generate the list of compartment students.

Step 2: Select the Roll Number and Subject(s) for each student.

Step 3: Finalise selections and note the Application ID.

Step 4: Make the online fee payment.

Step 5: Generate and save the final list along with the fee deposit proof.

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025: Steps for Private Candidates

Step 1: Visit the official website – cbse.gov.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link for CBSE Compartment Exam 2025-Private

Step 3: Enter Roll No., School No., and Centre No. from your last admit card.

Step 4: Select the subject you wish to appear for.

Step 5: Provide your address and choose the exam city carefully.

Step 6: Submit the application and note your Application ID.

Step 7: Upload a recent photograph and signature in JPG format.

Step 8: Make the fee payment online.

The supplementary exams will be based on the 2024-25 syllabus, available at cbseacademic.nic.in. A consolidated marksheet will be issued only to students declared passed after the Supplementary Examinations 2025.
