KANPUR (Uttar Pradesh): Chandigarh University Lucknow has announced scholarships worth ₹40 crore through its Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2025), aiming to support meritorious and financially underprivileged students seeking world-class, AI-integrated education. The university will offer 49 AI-augmented programs from the 2025-26 academic session at its state-of-the-art ₹2,500 crore campus on the Kanpur-Lucknow Highway.
The announcement was made by Dr. Manoj Joshi, Advisor to the Chancellor, and Dr. Ajay Kumar Yadav, Registrar, during the CUCET 2025 portal launch in Kanpur. “CUCET is a national-level entrance test offering up to 100% scholarships,” said Dr. Joshi. Additionally, ₹3 crore CV Raman Scholarships will be awarded to support research-driven students.
Chandigarh University Lucknow, which recently received UGC recognition and inclusion in Uttar Pradesh’s list of state public universities, is India’s first university to introduce industry-collaborative AI programs in its inaugural year. Located near India’s first AI City in Lucknow SCR, the university offers programs across six disciplines, including Engineering, Business Administration, Life Sciences, and Legal Studies.
The university has partnered with 24 global and Indian industry leaders, including Google, Microsoft, IBM, KPMG, Quick Heal, and PWC, to co-develop curriculum and offer live projects, internships, and guaranteed placements. Specialized Centres of Excellence, supported by Rabbit AI, will provide cutting-edge R&D and hands-on training.
Notable industry-collaborative programs include BTech Cloud Computing and Data Science with Google, BTech AI & ML with Microsoft, Cybersecurity with Quick Heal, and MBA Business Analytics with IBM and SAS. CU Lucknow is also the first in UP to offer BBA Fintech and BCom with ACCA through a partnership with Grant Thornton.
The initiative aims to build job-ready graduates by bridging the industry-academia gap and preparing students for the tech-driven careers of the future.
