CLAT 2025 Results: The Consortium of National Law Universities (C-NLUs) will announce the revised results for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 today, as per Live Law. The Counsel for the NLU consortiums informed the Supreme Court that they will publish the results today.
Following the Delhi High Court’s order on April 23, the Consortium of National Law Universities has been directed to release the updated merit list within four weeks.
Once the revised CLAT 2025 results are declared, candidates can expect that the online counselling process will commence shortly, for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs across participating NLUs. Here’s a timeline leading up to the Delhi HC order to revise the results.
April 23, 2025: Delhi High Court directs C-NLUs to publish revised results
The Delhi High Court delivered its verdict on the CLAT 2025 undergraduate results. The court identified discrepancies in five questions of the UG exam’s Set-A paper. Specifically, it directed the Consortium to award marks for question 14 to candidates who selected Option ‘C’ and to exclude question 100 from evaluation.
Consequently, the Consortium was instructed to republish and renotify the final list of selected candidates within four weeks, leading to potential shifts in candidate rankings by up to 1.25 marks.
April 22, 2025: Court orders republishing of CLAT 2025 UG merit list
Building upon its earlier observations, the Delhi High Court mandated the Consortium of NLUs to release a revised and renotified final list of selected candidates for CLAT UG 2025 within a four-week timeframe. It is now expected that the revised results and merit lists will be out by May 21, 2025.

February 6, 2025: Supreme Court consolidates CLAT petitions
Recognising the multiple petitions filed across various high courts challenging the CLAT 2025 results, the Supreme Court intervened to streamline the adjudication process.
The bench, led by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, directed that all cases be heard by a division bench of the Delhi High Court on March 3, 2025. Registrars of several high courts, including those of Bombay, Karnataka, Punjab and Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Calcutta, were instructed to transfer the judicial records of pending cases within seven days.
January 15, 2025: Supreme Court considers consolidation of CLAT petitions
The Supreme Court expressed its inclination to consolidate all petitions related to CLAT 2025, which were pending before seven high courts, into a single high court for consistent adjudication. Initially, the bench suggested transferring all matters to the Punjab and Haryana High Court, where the first petition was filed.

However, this proposal was later reconsidered due to differing preferences among parties, with some advocating for the Karnataka High Court and others for the Delhi High Court, which had previously addressed discrepancies in the CLAT 2025 answer key. The court issued notices to the petitioners and scheduled the matter for hearing in the first week of February.
December 24, 2024: Division bench upholds single judge’s decision
Following the single judge’s directive on December 20 to revise the CLAT UG 2025 results due to errors in two questions, the Consortium of NLUs appealed the decision.
