CUET UG 2023: UGC urges all Universities, HEIs to adopt CUET score for admissions – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited all State Universities, Deemed to be Universities, Private Universities, and other Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to adopt and use the CUET score for admission to their Undergraduate programmes.
The Commission released a notification in this regard on February 16, 2023, urging all institutions to conduct UG admissions through CUET scores.
As per UGC, this initiative will save students from appearing in multiple entrance exams conducted on different dates, sometimes coinciding with each other, and also to provide equal opportunity to all students from different Boards.
CUET UG 2023 registrations have commenced and students can visit the official website at cuet.samarth.ac.in to apply. The last date to submit the online application form is March 12, 2023. The CUET UG exam will be held from May 21, 2023 onwards.

The number of subjects and question papers pattern in CUET will remain the same, mentions the official notice. A candidate is eligible for as many as 6 domain subjects in addition to one or two languages and the general test.
The CUET exam 2023 will be held in 13 languages – Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Malayalam, Assamese, Gujarati, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia, and English. It will be conducted in three shifts on each day.
