CUET UG 2025: Exam begins tomorrow; check dress code, prohibited items, and other guidelines

CUET UG 2025 Exam Date, Syllabus, Exam Day Guidelines, Question Papers, Dress Code: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will begin the CUET UG 2025 from tomorrow, May 13. The national level entrance exam held for admissions to undergraduate programmes will be conducted in multiple shifts till May 24. The entrance exam is a gateway for admission to various undergraduate programmes offered by central, state, and participating universities across India.

CUET UG 2025 will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various centres across India and select international locations. NTA has released a set of important exam day guidelines. All candidates are advised to review and adhere to these instructions to avoid any last-minute issues or disqualification.

CUET UG 2025: Exam Day Guidelines

Reporting Time 

Candidates must reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their admit card. Candidates arriving after the gate closing time will not be allowed to appear for the exam. It is advised to students to reach 15-30 minutes earlier at the exam hall to avoid chaos. 

Mandatory Documents

Candidates must bring a printed copy of their CUET UG 2025 admit card to the examination centre. Along with this, they are required to bring one passport-size photograph that matches the one uploaded in the application form. Additionally, a valid photo ID proof such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN card, Passport, Voter ID, or driving license must be presented for verification. Along with documents, students have to bring a transparent ball point pen. 

Barred Items

The NTA has stated that specific items are not permitted within the exam centre. Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, smart watches, bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, or any electronic accessories. Food items packed or unpacked are not allowed, except for candidates with medical conditions. Such candidates need to carry supporting documents. Any kind of ornaments, jewellery, metallic items, handbags, wallets, goggles, caps, and hats are not allowed.

Dress Code

Candidates are advised to wear simple and light clothes. They should avoid clothes with large buttons, badges, or embroidery. Candidates wearing religious or customary attire are advised to reach the centre early for proper frisking. No shoes or high heels are allowed. Candidates should wear slippers or sandals with thin soles.

 — Rough sheets will be provided to candidates at the examination centre for any calculations or notes. Immediate disqualification will occur for any candidate found involved in unfair means or malpractice during the exam.

Candidates are advised to check the exam centre address carefully beforehand and plan their travel accordingly.

In the CUET UG 2024 session, over 14.9 lakh candidates registered for the exam, making it one of the largest entrance tests in the country. The exam was conducted across 379 cities, including 26 cities outside India, highlighting the scale and competitiveness of the test.
