The CUET UG 2025 exam is designed to assess a candidate’s aptitude in multiple dimensions, segmented into three primary sections:
Section I: Language Proficiency – This section evaluates reading comprehension, grammar, and verbal ability in various Indian and international languages. It tests how effectively a student can comprehend and interpret text.
Section II: Domain-Specific Subjects – This is crucial for assessing a student’s academic knowledge in the subjects relevant to their desired UG program. It covers topics aligned with the Class 12 curriculum of respective subjects, such as Physics, Chemistry, Economics, etc.
Section III: General Test – This section covers general knowledge, current affairs, quantitative reasoning, logical reasoning, and numerical ability.
For each domain-specific subject, students must answer 40 multiple choice questions (MCQs) out of 50, within 45 minutes. Each correct response awards 5 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. The Computer-Based Test (CBT) format ensures standardised assessment across centers.
