Delhi will introduce new subjects for senior secondary classes in three government schools for 2025-26.

The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) has announced that three government schools will introduce new subjects in their senior secondary classes for the academic session 2025-26. In a circular issued on March 19, the DoE confirmed the addition of these subjects in Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, and Government Girls’ Senior Secondary School.
The new subjects include Informatics Practices, History, Urdu, Physical Education, and Sociology. The department has directed school heads to complete all necessary CBSE formalities for the affiliation of these subjects.
According to Sant Ram, district secretary of the Government School Teachers’ Association, the implementation of these subjects will commence in April, as reported by PTI. “These subjects will offer students a broader range of learning opportunities,” he added.
Delhi School Admission 2025: DoE Warns Parents Against Fake Admissions And Donations
Meanwhile, the DoE has issued a strict warning against the practice of charging donation, capitation, consultancy, or facilitation fees for securing school admissions. DoE on Wednesday reminded the parents and schools that the practice of giving or accepting donations or capitation fees is prohibited in educational institutions.
In the circular dated March 19, 2025, the Directorate warned both parents and schools against engaging with individuals, organizations, or consulting firms that make false claims about influencing or guaranteeing admissions.
“It is being observed that some individuals /organizations /institutions are falsely claiming to influence or guarantee the parents for securing the admissions in schools. The general public is hereby informed that such claims are misleading and cautioned against engaging with or availing services from such illegal entities,” the official notice stated.
