All schools in Delhi, both government and private, will remain closed on February 26, 2025, due to Maha Shivratri. Maha Shivratri is celebrated annually to commemorate the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. For any questions or concerns, students and parents are advised to contact their respective school administrations.

In Hindu mythology, Maha Shivratri marks the wedding day of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. This divine union holds deep significance for Shiva devotees, who celebrate the festival as a momentous occasion in their faith. Maha Shivratri presents an opportunity for fresh starts and purification of the body, mind, and spirit.

Observing a full-day fast on this occasion holds profound spiritual meaning, symbolizing a year-long devotion to Lord Shiva. This act of self-discipline is believed to contribute to spiritual growth and inner peace, while also paving the way for achieving material goals. It is seen as a path to attain salvation and liberation from past transgressions.

Apart from Shiv Ratri, students can look forward to several upcoming holidays and breaks from school in the next few months including Holi, Good Friday, Eid-ul-Fitr, Ram Navami, Muharram, and Independence Day.
