The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Central Government has released a notification for the recruitment of Scientist ‘B’ positions for the year 2025. Interested candidates can apply online through the official DRDO recruitment portal.

Through this notification, a total of 148 vacancies will be available across various disciplines.
Scientist ‘B’ (DRDO): 127 posts
Scientist/Engineer ‘B’ (DST): 9 posts
Scientist ‘B’ (ADA): 12 posts
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold an engineering or postgraduate degree in any of the following subjects: Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical, Metallurgy, Physics, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering. In addition, candidates must have qualified the GATE examination in the relevant subject.
Age Limit
General Category: Maximum 35 years
OBC category: Maximum 38 years
SC/ST Category: Maximum 40 years
Differently-Abled candidates: Up to 10 years relaxation
Central Government Employees: Up to 5 years relaxation
Salary
Selected candidates will receive a basic pay of Rs 56,100 per month. Including allowances such as dearness allowance and other benefits, the gross monthly salary will be approximately Rs 1 lakh.
