DU Admission 2025: The CUET UG 2025 exam will be held from May 8 to June 1. Even before this, Delhi University has started preparations for admission in undergraduate courses. After the release of the CUET UG result, the university will open the seat allocation system. The university has clarified how admission will be given if two students have the same CUET UG rank.
The university has said that if such a situation arises, the tie breaker will be based on 12th marks. A DU official said that it has been observed that during admission, two students are found to have the same marks. Sometimes the number of students seeking admission in a particular subject is very high. In all such situations, there is a provision for giving admission through tie breaker.
What is the tie-breaker rule?
In the CUET UG exam, if two students have the same marks and seats are limited then the tie-breaker rule is used. In this, first of all, 12th marks are seen. The one who has more marks is given priority. If the 12th marks are also the same, then the candidate’s age is checked. Whoever is older is given priority.

Aspiring students must now take the English paper in CUET 2025 along with any three subjects from ‘List B’ which includes domain-specific subjects. To be eligible for DU BA (Hons) English in 2025, candidates can choose one of two subject combinations: English (List A) plus any three subjects from List B, or English and another language from List A along with any two subjects from List B.
