Tesla Founder and CEO Elon Musk is hiring software engineers to build the ‘everything app’. To apply for the job you just need a passion for coding. Taking to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) SpaceX CEO announced that it doesn’t matter from where the candidates have earned their degrees or in which “big name” companies they have worked as long as they are hardcore software engineers. “If you’re a hardcore software engineer and want to build the everything app, please join us by sending your best work to code@x.com. We don’t care where you went to school or even whether you went to school or what “big name” company you worked at. Just show us your code,” Musk wrote on ‘X’.

What Is Everything App?

Musk’s idea of an “everything app” or super app is a comprehensive platform that provides a wide range of services to users, including messaging, social networking, peer-to-peer payments, and e-commerce, as reported by Reuters.

Such super apps are particularly popular in Asia, such as WeChat in China, which boasts over a billion monthly users. The app allows users to book rides, send money to friends and family, and make payments at stores, according to the report. Reportedly, Grab is a prominent super app in Southeast Asia which offers services like food delivery, ride-hailing, on-demand package delivery, financial services, and investing.

Recently, X CEO Linda Yaccarino hinted at the upcoming launch of financial services on the social networking platform under the name ‘X Money’.
