In the recently declared results of the State Service Examination 2022 conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC), Swati Singh secured rank seven.

Hailing from a small village in Satna District, Swati achieved the position of Deputy Collector through hard work and unwavering support from her family. The daughter of a farmer and a homemaker, Swati attained success on her fourth attempt.

Swati shared some of her experiences during her studies with Local18, which could prove invaluable for those preparing for competitive examinations.

Journey

Swati completed her early education at CMA School in Satna and passed her 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as her core subjects.

She began her preparation for MPPSC in 2017. After attending UPSC coaching for eight months, she dedicated herself entirely to MPPSC preparation through self-study. Despite failing three times, Swati persevered and fulfilled her dream of becoming a Deputy Collector on her fourth attempt.

Swati told Local18 that she devoted all her time, apart from eating and sleeping, to studying. She emphasised that personality and overall knowledge are thoroughly tested during the interview process. During her preparation, she sought guidance from her mentors, which made the path to success easier.

Focus on Women’s Empowerment

As a Deputy Collector, Swati plans to prioritise education and women’s empowerment. She believes that while success may take time, it can be achieved with hard work and unwavering determination.

Giving a message to other aspirants, she stated that any goal can be achieved with consistent effort and a positive attitude. She remarked, “Success may take time, but if your dedication is true, you will undoubtedly reach your destination.”
