One interesting fact about the Story of IAS B Abdul Nasar is that he never cleared the UPSC examination but Still managed to be an IAS Officer, isn’t that amazing. But there is a long-struggling journey behind this.

 

Beginning

He was born in Kerela’s Kannur. But from the very beginning, his life was filled with difficulties, pain, and suffering. At just 5 years old, he lost his father. His mother used to work as a domestic worker, and he was in the orphanage at that time with his sibling. He lived for 13 years there and completed his education. At just the age of 10, he started working odd jobs to survive and provide for his family, including hotel supplier and cleaner job. He even fled his orphanage, but later he realized that he needed to complete his studies as working these odd jobs wouldn’t help him in the long run, so he went back.

 

Educational Journey

From Thalassery’s government college, he completed high school and a graduate degree. Even though he used to work odd jobs during his academic years for his survival. The job included phone operator, tuition teacher, and newspaper delivery boy to sustain his family and personal life.

 

 

Lately, he completed his Masters and B.Ed. degrees from Farook College in Kozhikode. In 1994, just after his postgraduate degree, he got an opportunity to work with the government and became an employee in the Kerela Health Department after years of consistent efforts and good contributions to civil services. In 2006, he was promoted to Deputy Collector in the State Civil Service.

 

During his time in 2015, he was recognized well as a top deputy collector, which led him to a promotion that he earned from his years of consistent discipline and resilience. He was promoted to the rank of IAS Officer in 2017. Currently, he is contributing to the District Collector of Kollam in 2019.

 

Summary

Despite poverty and scarcity of resources still, IAS B Abdul Nasar came out from there and reached his goal. In fact, this great story of inspiration teaches us that if we dedicate ourselves genuinely to the aim, nothing is impossible.
