The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has revised the examination date for the Class 9 and Class 11 school-level annual examinations 2025. The exams that were earlier scheduled for April 12, 2025, will now be conducted on April 21, 2025. This change has been made to prevent a scheduling conflict with the Gyansadhana Merit Scholarship examination, which is also set for April 12, 2025.
The revised date has been mandated to ensure uniformity and smooth conduct of examinations across all secondary and higher secondary schools in the state.

In an official notification, the GSEB explained that the Gyansadhana Merit Scholarship Examination will be held across all districts on April 12 from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Due to the extensive number of candidates and examination centres involved, the State Examination Board had requested a change in the exam schedule to avoid logistical challenges.
The notification issued by the board reads, “Subject-wise papers for the school-level examinations are to be prepared by the school development complex or by the schools themselves. Accordingly, all secondary and higher secondary schools in the state are to be informed to reschedule the class 9 and 11 annual examinations scheduled for 12/04/2025.”

According to the Gujarat State Education Department’s academic calendar for 2024–25, the Class 9 and Class 11 annual examinations are being conducted between April 7 and April 19, 2025. However, schools have now been instructed to hold the April 12 paper on April 2, 2025 instead.
