Himachal Pradesh education department announces 6,692 Aaya, yoga teacher, and special educator posts, apply by April 28 – The Times of India

HP NILETT Recruitment 2025: The Himachal Pradesh government has launched a major recruitment drive offering 6,692 job openings for unemployed youth in the state. This recruitment will be conducted through outsourcing via NILETT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology) company. A total of seven categories will be covered, with the largest number of positions available in the education department.
The recruitment process will offer various posts in education, including Aayas for pre-primary schools, yoga teachers, special educators, and career guidance counselors. The application process for these positions is now open, and interested candidates must follow the prescribed procedure to apply.
Post details and honorarium structure
The majority of the posts, a total of 6,202, are for the position of Aaya in pre-primary schools. In addition, 124 yoga teachers, 227 special educators, and 124 career guidance counselors will also be recruited. Applicants must download the application form from the NILETT Shimla website, fill it out, and send it along with the necessary documents and a demand draft of Rs 500 by post. The deadline for applications is April 28, 2025, at 5 pm.
Regarding the honorarium, the government has set different salary structures based on the role. The part-time Aayas will receive an honorarium of Rs 4,075 per month. Yoga teachers will be paid Rs 6,789 per month, while career guidance counselors will earn Rs 17,068. Special educators working at the primary and upper primary levels will be paid Rs 16,385 per month, and those at the secondary and senior secondary levels will receive Rs 20,469 per month.

Other positions across departments
Apart from the education department, recruitment will also take place in other sectors. The government will appoint 12 district program managers, each of whom will receive a salary of Rs 30,000 per month. Additionally, three e-district managers will be selected, and they will be paid Rs 32,490 per month.
Educational qualifications and eligibility criteria
The educational requirements for the posts vary depending on the role. For yoga teachers, applicants must have a graduation degree and a one-year diploma in yoga. Career guidance counselors need to hold an MA or M.Ed degree along with a diploma in Guidance and Counselling.
For the Aaya role, the minimum educational qualification is a 12th pass. Special Educators at the primary and upper primary levels must have at least 50% marks in their 12th exams, along with a Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education). To qualify as a Special Educator at the secondary and senior secondary levels, applicants must hold a B.Ed in Special Education and have 50% marks in their post-graduate studies.
