IGNOU Admission January 2024: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started accepting applications for January 2024 sessions. As per the latest notice released, candidates can apply for B.Ed., B.Sc. Nursing, and PhD programmes on the official website – ignou.ac.in
Eligible candidates will be able to apply until December 31, after which the entrance test will be conducted on January 7.

Application Fee for IGNOU Jan Session 2024
The candidates who are eligible and interested in applying for the posts will have to pay Rs 1000 as the application fee online. IGNOU will not accept any application in hard copy or in offline mode.
Steps to Apply for IGNOU Admission 2024 January Session
IGNOU admissions for B.Sc., B.Ed., and PhD are available on the official website. Students can follow the steps listed below to apply for admission.
Step 1: Visit the official website – ignou.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the admission link on home page
Step 3: Click on the admission link for your preferred course.
Step 4: Read the instructions carefully and then click on the “Registration” button
Step 5: Fill out the required information and pay the admission fee
Step 6: Submit the application and download the PDF for future reference
Eligibility for IGNOU Admission January Session
The eligibility of the candidates varies as per the programme. Check the eligibility criteria as listed below
IGNOU B.Ed. Eligibility
Candidates with:
- a) at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity. Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto,
AND
- b) The following categories are eligible to be students of B.Ed. (ODL):
(i) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education.
(ii) Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode.
IGNOU B.Sc. Eligibility
In-service nurses, i.e., Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM), have 10+2 with a three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and a minimum of two years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession. (For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme, should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.)
OR
In-service Nurses (RNRM) having 10th class (Matriculation) or its equivalent with a three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of five years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession. (For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme, should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.)
