IIM Ahmedabad’s new ITMSBL programme prepares future CIOs and CTOs for strategic leadership. The six-month course starts May 10, 2025.

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) has unveiled a new programme aimed at preparing future Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) for leadership roles in strategic business management. The Information Technology Management for Strategic Business Leadership (ITMSBL) programme is designed to help IT leaders transition from technical specialists to strategic business visionaries, bridging the gap between technology leadership and business strategy.

Programme Details:

Application Deadline: April 26, 2025

Programme Fee: Rs 400,000 + GST

Start Date: May 10, 2025

End Date: November 30, 2025

Duration: Six months

The six-month programme is aimed at equipping participants with comprehensive knowledge of management principles and enhancing their competency in key areas like technology-enabled change, managing IT projects, and leveraging digital technologies for business success.

Selection Process:

Selection for the programme will be based on the evaluation of individual profiles and the Statement of Purpose (SoP).

Mode of Delivery: The programme will be delivered through a combination of Direct-to-Desktop (D2D) weekly sessions on the JITMRL platform and campus modules at IIM Ahmedabad. Classes will be held every Sunday from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Evaluation Methodology:

• Participants will be evaluated through various methods, including:
• Online Assessments
• Case Studies
• Discussions, Quizzes, and Assignments
• Offline Assessments (Paper-pencil test)
• Class Participation

The evaluation will be carried out by IIM Ahmedabad, and the final certification will be based on performance and 80% attendance.

Certification And Alumni Status:

At the end of the programme, eligible participants will receive a Certificate of Completion (CoC) from IIM Ahmedabad, subject to successful assessment and meeting the attendance requirements.

Participants who attend this short-duration Executive Education programme for the first time may also qualify for IIMA Alumni Status, provided they complete a total of 21 days in one or more programmes. Upon payment of a one-time alumni fee of Rs 10,000 + GST, participants will be awarded an IIMA Alumni Identity Card.
