IIM Calcutta has launched AI-led strategic marketing programme with Emeritus to equip professionals with skills in Generative AI, analytics, and customer-centric growth.
The programme is specifically tailored for those in mid- to senior-level roles across marketing, digital marketing, consulting, and business strategy.
With artificial intelligence (AI) rapidly transforming the marketing landscape, there’s a growing demand for professionals who can merge data, creativity, and customer-centric thinking to drive growth. Responding to this industry shift, IIM Calcutta—ranked 5th in the NIRF 2024 rankings—has partnered with Emeritus to launch an 18-week executive education programme titled “Strategic Marketing for Leaders: Leveraging AI for Growth.”
As per PwC’s Global CEO Survey 2024, 70% of Indian CEOs believe Generative AI will significantly influence how businesses create and deliver value, especially in personalised marketing and customer experience. Additionally, EY’s AIdea of India: 2025 report states that 71% of Indian retailers are planning to adopt Generative AI in the coming year. These findings underline the urgent need for marketing professionals equipped with AI-driven capabilities.
Backed by IIM Calcutta’s Triple Crown accreditation (AMBA, EQUIS, AACSB), the new programme is designed to empower mid- to senior-level professionals in marketing, digital strategy, consulting, and related domains. It focuses on practical, hands-on learning in areas such as predictive analytics, Generative AI, omni-channel marketing, and customer journey mapping.

The curriculum combines asynchronous recorded sessions with live online classes led by IIM Calcutta’s Prof. Saravana Jaikumar. Participants will work on real-world case studies from global brands like Nike, Apple, and Southwest Airlines, and engage in hands-on simulations and a capstone project. An optional one-day networking event at the IIM Calcutta campus offers additional opportunities for peer learning and faculty interaction.
