IISER 2025: The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER), Tirupati

has officially opened the application process for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can now apply for the IISER 2025 exam via the official website, iiseradmission.in. The last date for submission of applications is April 15, 2025, with the IAT 2025 exam scheduled to take place on May 25, 2025.

IISER Aptitude Test 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Indian nationals, OCI/PIO, or Foreign Nationals to apply for IAT 2025.

Candidates must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2023, 2024, or 2025 with a science stream from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India.

Foreign nationals need to upload an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities unless they meet the above criteria.

Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics during their Class XII examination.

Specific Requirements: For certain programs, candidates must have studied Mathematics during Class XII. These include the 5-year BS-MS in Computational and Data Sciences at IISER Kolkata, the 4-year B. Tech. program at IISER Bhopal, and other related courses.

Minimum Marks: SC/ST/PwD candidates require at least 55% aggregate marks, while candidates from other categories must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Class XII.

IISER 2025 Application Fee:

• General, EWS, OBC, OBC-NCL candidates: Rs. 2,000
• PwD, SC/ST, Kashmiri Migrants, Kashmiri Pandits, and Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrant): Rs. 1,000
• Foreign Nationals: Rs. 12,000
• The application fee is non-refundable.

How To Apply For IISER 2025?

Step 1. Registration: Candidates must first register on the official website to receive a User ID and Password.

Step 2. Login: Use the received User ID and Password to log in and complete the application form.

Step 3. Details: Fill in personal details such as Name, Nationality, Category, Mobile Number, Email Address, and Test City Preferences. These details cannot be changed once the application is submitted.

Step 4. Submit: After filling out the application, submit the form and make the payment.

IAT 2025 Exam Pattern:

The IAT 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM. The exam will be conducted as a computer-based test at various centres across India. Candidates will have 180 minutes (3 hours) to complete the exam, which consists of 60 multiple-choice questions in total. The questions will be divided equally, with 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.

Scoring:

+4 marks for each correct answer

-1 mark for each incorrect answer

0 marks for unanswered questions

Total Marks: 240

Note: The total marks will be used to prepare the rank list. Not all candidates who appear in the IAT 2025 will receive a rank. The rank cut-off will be announced later, and obtaining a rank does not guarantee admission to an IISER.
