NEW DELHI/ ABU DHABI: The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi–Abu Dhabi (IITD-AD) has announced the second intake for its flagship MTech in Energy Transition and Sustainability and PhD in Energy and Sustainability programs for the academic year 2025–26. The semester is scheduled to begin in August 2025, and the application deadline is June 11, 2025.
Following the successful launch of its inaugural MTech batch in January 2024 and the PhD program in January 2025, IITD-AD continues to strengthen its presence as a key academic and research institution in the UAE. The Abu Dhabi campus represents a growing Indo-UAE partnership focused on global energy leadership, sustainable technologies, and academic excellence.
Programs Designed for a Sustainable Future
The MTech program offers a two-year in-person curriculum tailored for recent graduates and working professionals. It adopts a multidisciplinary, systems-based approach, covering renewable energy, smart grids, energy storage, sustainable transport, policy analysis, and financial modeling of decarbonization. Students will benefit from hands-on research, state-of-the-art labs, and potential collaborations with industry leaders in the UAE and beyond.
The PhD program is designed to advance high-impact research in cutting-edge areas such as process intensification, microgrids, decarbonization strategies, and the use of AI and data science in energy systems. Scholars will be guided by world-class faculty and engage in projects aligned with global NetZero targets.

Situated in Abu Dhabi—a regional leader in the clean energy transition—IIT Delhi’s international campus is positioned as a hub for innovation, research, and education.
