IIT Delhi establishes chair on applied AI for sustainable systems in collaboration with R Systems – ET Government

Endowing a chair at IIT Delhi supports faculty excellence, enhances institutional prestige, and connects corporations with academic talent and innovation, nurturing long-term research and creative ideas.

New Delhi: R Systems International Limited (a Blackstone portfolio company), a global leader in digital product engineering and technology solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigious IIT Delhi to establish “R Systems Chair on Applied AI for Sustainable Systems” at the Institute.

Endowing a chair at IIT Delhi supports faculty excellence, enhances institutional prestige, and connects corporations with academic talent and innovation, nurturing long-term research and creative ideas. This chair, funded through the CSR funds of R Systems, aims to foster excellence and leadership in research and development in the field of Applied AI for Sustainable Systems.

Prof. Hariprasad Kodamana from Department of Chemical Engineering, has been appointed
to “R Systems Chair on Applied AI for Sustainable Systems”.

Appreciating R Systems for their support in establishing the chair and enhancing research and education at the Institute, Prof. Preeti Ranjan Panda, Dean of Corporate Relations, IIT Delhi, said, “This endeavor presents a significant opportunity to advance research and development in Applied AI and Sustainability as it leverages the existing knowledge base, fostering academic excellence and groundbreaking research in this domain. By driving problem-solving and promoting best practices, the impact will extend beyond academia to the broader engineering community.”
