Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023: Deadline To Apply For 350 Sailor Posts Extended – News18

Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has now extended the date for the submission of online applications for recruitment to the posts of Sailor (General Duty), Sailor (Domestic Branch) and Mechanical posts (Navik and Yantrik) in ICG. It has released a notification to fill 350 posts for the same. The online applications started on September 8 and were due to conclude on September 22.

The authorities decided to extend the last date of submission to September 27 till 5:30 pm. Interested candidates can now apply for this recruitment drive if they failed to do it before. The applicants are advised to avoid any last-minute delays and submit the form at the official website of ICG–https://indiancoastguard.gov.in/. It should be noted that only Indian male citizens can apply for this post.

Indian Coast Guard has released 290 seats for Navik Post and 50 posts for Yantrik posts. The division of the vacancy is mentioned for each department in the official notification released by ICG on its website.

ICG Recruitment 2023: How To Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website of ICG–https://indiancoastguard.gov.in/

Step 2: On the homepage, register yourself by submitting your basic contact details such as your contact number and mail ID.

Step 3: Access the application portal with your registered ID and password.

Step 4: Fill the application by entering your required details

Step 5: Upload the necessary documents

Step 6: Pay the application fee after reviewing all the information

Step 7: Submit and download the application form

Applicants belonging to the General category have to pay Rs 300 as an application fee. The SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of the registration fee. The selection will be done on the basis of an online examination and Physical Fitness Test which will be followed by Medical Examination and Document Verification.

The candidates must have passed Class 10 to become eligible for the post of Navik in the domestic branch. Whereas for the General duty branch of the Navik post, the applicant must have passed Class 12 in maths and physics from an education board recognised by the Council Boards For School Education (COBSE).

The candidates applying for Yantrik posts must have passed Classes 10 and 12 to become eligible for the posts. The minimum age required for the candidates to appear for the recruitment drive is 18 years while the maximum is 22 years.
