Women candidates who are eligible OCI/PIO candidates and pass the JEE (Advanced) 2023 exam will be considered for additional female supernumerary seats in the GEN and GEN-PwD categories, if applicable.

JEE Main 2023: IIT Guwahati has announced that OCI/PIO candidates are permitted to take the JEE (Advanced) 2023 exam without the need to first take the JEE (Main) 2023 exam. This exemption will only apply to the current year.

When the IITs allocate seats, OCI/PIO candidates who qualify for JEE (Advanced) 2023 will be able to vie for positions in the General (GEN) and GEN-Person with Disability (PwD) categories, as appropriate, under the “Open category.”

Women who qualify for JEE (Advanced) 2023 and are eligible OCI/PIO candidates will be evaluated for Open Female Supernumerary seats in the GEN and GEN-PwD categories, as appropriate. The fees charged to OCI/PIO candidates have been adjusted to be equal to the fees charged to Indian nationals.

The Joint Admission Board has updated the information brochure for JEE (Advanced) 2023, which can be accessed at jeeadv.ac.in, in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling on February 3. As a result, changes have been made to the brochure.
