JEE Main 2025: In a last-minute move, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on April 8 changed a JEE Main session 2 exam centre for the April 9 exam. According to the JEE Main examination schedule, today, students had to appear for B (Arch) and (B Planning) exams. Both the exams are now underway and are conducted in a single morning shift between 9 am and noon.
As per the NTA notification, JEE Main aspirants having exam centres at the Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology (TC Code-37395) Barol, Malimpur, Rajhat Bandel, Hooghly, Hooghly, West Bengal have been changed. Candidates taking the exam have been shifted to Khamargachi Private ITI (TC Code-30642) Vill Hamjanpur, P.O. Khamargachi, PS. Balagarh, District Hooghly, Hooghly, West Bengal.

“All candidates who were scheduled to appear on 09 April 2025 at the old examination centre are requested to report to the new examination centre mentioned above,” read the NTA JEE Main notification. The sudden change was made due to unavoidable circumstances. No other exam centres in the state have been changed except the one mentioned above.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has ordered a probe as some JEE Main Session two aspirants claim that they missed the national-level engineering exam after arriving late to the centres, allegedly due to traffic restrictions imposed for Kalyan’s official convoy. JEE Main aspirants claimed that due to traffic restrictions, some of the aspirants missed reaching the exam centre located in the Pendurthi area.
As reported by the news agency PTI, over 25 candidates were barred from appearing in the JEE Main 2025 due to the restrictions. The release shared on the microblogging site, X by the Pawan Kalyan office asked the Visakhapatnam police to inquire into this issue and know for how long the traffic was stopped for the convoy.
The JEE Main 2025 exam is underway from April 2 to April 9. The BTech and BE papers have been scheduled for April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8, while the BArch and BPlanning papers (Paper 2A and Paper 2B) is underway.
