JEE Main 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 2 on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) will be held from April 2 to April 7, while Paper 2 (B.Arch & B.Planning) will take place on April 8 and 9. The exams will be conducted in two shifts each day: the first shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
JEE Main 2025: Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates who did not register using Aadhaar or opted for non-Aadhaar authentication must report at least an hour earlier for biometric verification. It is crucial to arrive at the examination venue on time, as several pre-examination formalities must be completed before the test begins. Candidates should follow the reporting time mentioned in their JEE Main 2025 admit card.
JEE Main 2025: Essential Documents & Items To Carry
Candidates must bring the following items to the exam centre:
JEE Main Admit Card: A printed copy of the admit card.
Photo ID Proof: A valid government-issued photo ID (PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar card, E-Aadhar, Ration Card, or Aadhaar enrollment number with photo).
Passport-size Photograph: The same photograph uploaded during the online application process (to be affixed on the attendance sheet).
Self-Declaration Form: A duly filled self-declaration form downloaded from the NTA website.
Transparent Ballpoint Pen: For writing purposes.
Transparent Water Bottle: For personal use.
For Diabetic Candidates: Sugar tablets or whole fruits are permitted.
JEE Main 2025 Exam Structure
Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech): Consists of 90 questions—30 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Section A includes 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) per subject, while Section B features 5 mandatory numerical questions per subject.
Paper 2A (B.Arch): Comprises 77 questions covering Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing, with the Drawing section carrying significant weightage (30% of total marks).
Paper 2B (B. Planning): Includes 100 questions across Mathematics, Aptitude, and Planning sections.
