JEE Main 2025 Paper Analysis Day 3: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is currently conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 2 for B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch & B.Planning courses from April 2 to 9. Today, April 4, 2025, marks Day 3 of the exam, with the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 for B.E./B.Tech courses are being held in two shifts. The first shift took place from 9 AM to 12 PM, while the second shift was scheduled from 3 PM to 6 PM.
JEE Main 2025 Session Paper Analysis Shift 1
The JEE Main paper conducted on 4th April , 2025 (Morning Shift) was moderate in overall difficulty. The paper was well-structured and error-free, allowing students to attempt all questions comfortably. Among the three sections, Physics and Chemistry ranged from easy to moderate, while Mathematics was the most challenging. The question distribution was balanced across topics.
Physics
The Physics section was easy to moderate, with a strong emphasis on numerical and formula-based questions. Major topics such as Mechanics, Modern Physics, Electrostatics, Optics, and Units & Measurements were well-represented. However, AC & Magnetism, Rotation, and EMI had fewer questions. While some questions were time-consuming, most were straightforward, making this section a high-scoring opportunity.
Chemistry
The Chemistry section was also easy to moderate. It featured many statement-based questions, which were straightforward and easy to score. Almost all chapters were covered, but Inorganic Chemistry had the highest weightage, while Physical and Organic Chemistry were moderately represented. Most theoretical questions were directly from NCERT, and Physical Chemistry had fewer numerical questions.
Mathematics
Mathematics was moderate to difficult, with well-distributed questions across various topics. Matrices, 3D Geometry, Vectors, and Conic Sections had significant weightage, while Calculus had comparatively fewer questions. Some problems were lengthy and time-consuming, making time management a crucial factor in this section.
The difficulty level of the JEE Main 2024 April 4 Shift 1 exam was ranked as follows: Mathematics was the most challenging, followed by Physics, with Chemistry being the relatively easier section.
