The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the JEE Main Session 2 results 2025 on its main website, which is jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can access their scorecards by entering their application number and password on the login page. In addition, a direct link to download the JEE Main Session 2 result has also been released on the website.

Like the IITs, the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are considered to be among the best engineering institutes in the nation, providing strong placement possibilities along with suitable academic programmes.

Check the list of the top 10 NITs in India as per the NIRF Engineering Rankings 2024:

National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli

Located in Tamil Nadu, the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, also called NIT Trichy, is regularly ranked as the best NIT in India. BTech, MTech, MBA and PhD are just a few of the many undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programmes it provides. JEE Main qualifiers favour NIT Trichy because of its stellar placement record and first-rate campus facilities. According to the NIRF Engineering Rankings 2024, it received a score of 66.88.

NIT Surathkal

This year’s second-ranked NIT is the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, which is located in Mangaluru, Karnataka. It provides engineering programmes in both established and cutting-edge fields, such as BTech, MTech, MBA and PhD. Students from all around India are drawn to NIT Surathkal because of its seaside campus and solid business partnerships. In 2024, it scored 64.27 on the NIRF engineering rankings report.

NIT Rourkela

Located in Odisha, the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, is another prestigious NIT that provides a range of programmes, including BTech, MTech, MBA, MSc and PhD. NIT Rourkela, which is well-known for its emphasis on research and connections to industry, has consistently performed well in NIRF rankings and is enhancing its academic credentials. It received an NIRF engineering ranking of 63.38 in 2024.

NIT Warangal

One of the oldest and most prestigious NITs in India, the National Institute of Technology, Warangal is in Telangana. The institute provides PhD, MBA, MTech and BTech programmes. Many JEE applicants choose NIT Warangal because of its excellent placement record and state-of-the-art research facilities. Last year, the Institute achieved an NIRF Rankings score of 61.72.

NIT Calicut

The National Institute of Technology, Calicut, in Kerala, is renowned for its MTech, MSc, MBA and PhD programmes in addition to its BTech and B.Arch programmes. In addition to being in a picturesque setting and surrounded by nature, NIT Calicut offers excellent academic and career placement assistance. The Institute received an NIRF Rankings score of 61.19 last year.

NIT Silchar

Assam is home to the National Institute of Technology, Silchar, a significant engineering centre in northeastern India. The institute offers PhD, MBA, MTech and BTech programmes. NIT Silchar’s technological curriculum and steady rankings have helped it achieve recognition. Last year, the Institute scored 57.60 on the NIRF Rankings.

NIT Durgapur

NIT Durgapur remains a popular regional institution with an emphasis on computer science, mechanical engineering and metallurgy. On the NIRF Rankings, the Institute received a score of 56.26 last year.

NIT Delhi

Despite being one of the new NITs, the National Institute of Technology, Delhi, has advanced quickly in the rankings. The institute provides BTech, MTech and PhD programmes and is situated in Narela, in the National Capital Region, on the GT Karnal Road. NIT Delhi has an advantage in terms of exposure and internships because of its proximity to the nation’s capital. Last year, the Institute scored 55.67 on the NIRF Rankings.

NIT Patna

Located in Bihar, the National Institute of Technology, Patna, has long been a major force in the state’s engineering education system. It provides PhD, MTech and BTech programmes. The Institute received a score of 52.28 on the NIRF Rankings last year.

NIT Shillong

Shillong is home to the National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya, which is rapidly rising in the rankings. It provides PhD, MTech and BTech programmes. The institute is renowned for its picturesque campus location in the Meghalayan hills and its expanding academic presence. Last year, the Institute scored 49.82 on the NIRF Rankings.
