JEE Mains Result 2025: NTA re-releases final answer keys, 2 questions dropped

The tentative answer keys for the JEE Main 2025 exam were announced on April 11, and candidates had until April 13 to submit objections. The NTA had earlier released a final answer key on April 17 on JEE Main portal. However, within hours after publishing it online, the agency took it down by removing the link from its website. Later, on April 18, in a tweet, the Agency mentioned that a revised final answer key will be released by 2 pm today, and results will be declared by April 19, 2025.

JEE Main 2025 Final Answer Key: Which questions have been removed?

In the previously released (and now withdrawn) final answer key dated April 17, the NTA had dropped two questions, one each from the domestic and international set of questions. The first, with Question ID 347577562, appeared in the April 3 first shift of the domestic set, while the second, Question ID 347577939, was also from the Physics section, of April 2 first shift in the international set. In line with NTA guidelines, all candidates will be awarded full marks for these dropped questions, regardless of whether they attempted them.

JEE Main 2025 Final Answer Key: How to check

Step 1: Go to the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in, to access the JEE Main answer key.

Step 2: Locate and click on the link for JEE Main 2025.

Step 3: Enter login credentials, such as roll number and date of birth.

Step 4: Submit the details by clicking the submit button.

Step 5: The answer key for JEE Main examination session 2 paper 1 will then be displayed on the screen.

JEE Main 2025 Final Answer Key: How are answer keys determined?

According to NTA norms, only paid challenges made during the stipulated time through the key challenge link are considered. The Challenges made without justification or evidence and those filed through any other medium other than the prescribed link are also not considered. The experts then examined the challenges submitted by the candidates against the JEE Main 2025  answer key paper 1 and then released the final answer key.

Earlier, the NTA issued an official clarification addressing concerns raised about discrepancies between the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 response sheets and the provisional answer keys. The clarification was shared through a series of tweets on the social media platform X.

JEE Main 2025 Final Answer Key: Check marking scheme

The JEE Main question paper is divided into two sections – A and B. Each subject has two sections. Section A is of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), and Section B contains questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value.

There is negative marking for incorrect answers in Section A and Section B. Four marks is allotted for each correct answer and one mark deducted for each wrong answer marked. For those questions unanswered and marked for review, no marks will be provided.

As per JEE Main 2025 marking scheme, if more than one option is found to be correct then four marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options and for questions where all options are found to be correct then four marks will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.
