Jharkhand Board Exam 2025: Class 8, 9 schedule out. The revised exam admit cards will be available for download on the official JAC website, jac.jharkhand.gov.in, from March 5 onwards.

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced revised dates for the Class 8 and 9 board exams. The Class 8 exams will now be held on March 10 in two shifts, and the Class 9 annual exams will take place on March 11 and 12. The revised exam admit cards will be available for download on the official JAC website, jac.jharkhand.gov.in, from March 5 onwards. Students can collect their hall tickets from their respective schools.
The Jharkhand board class 8 Hindi, English, Additional language, Mathematics, Social Science, and Science exams will take place on March 10. The class 9 Hindi A, Hindi B, and English, Mathematics and Science will be held on March 11 and Social Science and additional language papers on March 12.
The Jharkhand board class 8 exams were earlier scheduled to commence on January 28, 2025, while the class 9 exams were scheduled to be held on January 29 and 30, 2025. However, all these exams were deferred.
The exams will be conducted in two shifts — from 9:45 AM to 1 PM and from 2 PM to 5:15 PM. Each paper in class 8 will be 50 marks featuring multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Furthermore, an internal exam will be held at the school level carrying 100 marks. This year, 5,18,002 students applied for the 8th exam, and 4,77,096 students registered for the 9th class exam.

This announcement comes after the recent rescheduling of Class 10 Hindi and Science exams. These papers were allegedly leaked on social media, prompting the JAC to cancel the exams initially scheduled for February 20. The rescheduled Hindi exam will now take place on March 7, followed by the Science exam on March 8.
The Jharkhand Police have apprehended 10 individuals in connection with the alleged paper leak. Over 7.84 lakh students across Jharkhand are appearing for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations, which commenced on February 11 with heightened security measures at 2,086 exam centres.
