“The numbers will only increase as registration for SSLC Exam-2 is still ongoing. My decision to conduct three annual exams is yielding good results, with a record number of students registering—many of them for improvement,” said Sri Madhu Bangarappa.

He highlighted that despite strict measures such as webcasting, there has been an 8.5% increase in the pass percentage compared to the previous year’s SSLC results. Additionally, 22 students scored full marks, and 75 percent of students scored 60% and above.

“Shivamogga ranks 4th in SSLC results. Two students from government schools scored 625 marks. I personally visited and felicitated the girl student from Sirsi, while Bilahongal MLA Sri Mahantesh Koujalagi felicitated the other student,” the minister added.

He also stressed the government’s efforts, including the provision of free electricity to government schools and the conduct of special and remedial classes to better prepare students for exams. Moreover, examination fees have been completely waived for students who could not pass in the first attempt. However, those appearing for improvement must still pay the fee.

Furthermore, the minister mentioned ongoing initiatives such as incorporating Artificial Intelligence, constructing additional toilets and classrooms in government schools, and launching YouTube channels featuring top-performing students and experienced teachers sharing exam tips and strategies.
