KCET 2025: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced a change in the exam date for the Kannada language test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates in the KCET 2025. The exam, initially scheduled for April 18, 2025, will now be held on April 15, 2025.
This change follows a request from candidates, as April 18 coincides with Good Friday. According to the revised schedule, the exam will be conducted in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on April 15, 2025. The Kannada language test will be held at district centres in Bengaluru, Belagavi, Vijayapura, and Mangaluru.
“Date was notified to conduct Kannada Language Test on 18-04-2025 for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. Few candidates have requested to change the date due to Good Friday is happening on the same date and as per the directions of the Government, Kannada Language Test will now be conducted on 15-04-2025 (Tuesday) instead on 18-04-2025,” reads the official notification.
The KCET 2025 exams for all other candidates will proceed as planned on April 16 and 17, with no changes to the previously announced timetable. Candidates who have applied and paid the exam fee can download their admit cards through the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
In addition, KEA has clarified that the KCET 2025 question paper will consist of four answer options per question. This is in contrast to other KEA competitive exams, which feature five options per question.
KCET 2025 will be conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering, medical, and other professional courses at institutions across Karnataka for the 2025-26 academic session.
