KEAM 2025 exam centres in Bahrain, Hyderabad cancelled; fee payment deadline extended – The Times of India

KEAM 2025: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has announced the cancellation of the KEAM 2025 exam centres in Bahrain and Hyderabad due to an insufficient number of applications. This change will affect candidates who had chosen these centres as their first preference. These candidates will now be allotted alternative exam centres based on their next available choices.
In addition to this, the KEAM 2025 registration fee payment deadline has been extended. The new deadline for paying the application fee is March 15, 2025, by 3 pm. Candidates who have already registered for the exam are advised to make the payment on the official CEE Kerala website, cee.kerala.gov.in, before the deadline. The extended deadline allows students a bit more time to complete the payment process for their applications.
KEAM 2025 registration and fee details
Candidates belonging to different categories are required to pay specific amounts for the KEAM 2025 registration fee. For the engineering stream, candidates from the General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories must pay Rs 875. For the Architecture stream, the fee is Rs 625. Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates will need to pay Rs 375 for engineering and Rs 250 for Architecture. Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates are exempt from paying the registration fee for both streams.
The revised last date for uploading KEAM 2025 registration documents is March 15, 2025, by 5 pm. All registered candidates must ensure that they have submitted the required documents by this time to avoid any issues with their applications.
KEAM 2025 exam dates and admit card release
The KEAM 2025 exam is scheduled to take place from April 24 to April 28, 2025. Candidates should be prepared for their exams, as the hall tickets will be available for download from April 4, 2025, onwards. It is important for candidates to check the official website for updates and instructions regarding the admit cards.
Once the exams are completed, the KEAM 2025 results will be announced on or before May 10, 2025. The results will determine the eligibility of candidates for admissions to various engineering and architecture programmes offered by universities and colleges in Kerala.
Eligibility criteria for KEAM 2025
To appear for the KEAM 2025 exam, candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria depending on the stream they are applying for.
For the engineering stream, candidates should have passed Class 12 with physics and mathematics as mandatory subjects. Additionally, they must have studied chemistry, computer science, or biology as an additional subject, securing a minimum aggregate of 45% in these subjects.
For the architecture stream, candidates must have qualified Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Alternatively, those who have completed a 10+3 diploma with mathematics as a compulsory subject and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are also eligible to apply. Furthermore, candidates seeking admission to BArch courses must have qualified in the NATA 2025 exam with the required minimum marks. The NATA exam must be cleared by June 30, 2025, to be considered for admission.

KEAM 2025 exam pattern
The KEAM 2025 exam will be conducted online and will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions. The total exam duration is 3 hours, and the exam will be worth 600 marks. The exam will have three sections: physics, mathematics, and chemistry. Each correct answer will earn the candidate 4 marks, while each incorrect response will lead to a deduction of 1 mark. The question paper will be available in English.
