It is pertinent to note that Border Security Force (BSF) personnel are responsible for the security of the country’s borders as they are deployed on the borders of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Additionally, they hold other responsibilities including upholding tranquillity and opposing transnational criminal activities.
On the other hand, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel are tasked with ensuring the security of industrial units, government infrastructure and other government establishments of the government of India. Currently, CISF deals with the responsibility of security of more than 356 industrial units including aiprots in India.
Now, coming to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), they are given the responsibility to maintain law and order in the states and union territories. Additionally, they are also required to assist in critical situations or emergencies.
BSF Salary
The salary of a BSF Constable GD is between Rs 21,700 and Rs. 69,100 per month, depending on their grade pay. They are also entitled to several allowances including dearness allowance, house rent allowance and transport allowance. On the other hand, those holding the position of Sub-inspector get a total of Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400.
CRPF Salary
CRPF Assistant Commandants are given a basic salary of Rs 56,100 under pay level 10. Besides, they also get allowances including house rent, dearness allowance, ration, medical, transport, etc. whereas the sub-inspector gets a pay scale of Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400 under Level 6. The candidates employed in the position of CRPF head constables are placed in Pay Level 03, with a salary scale ranging from Rs. 21,700- 69,100 per month. They are also eligible for benefits including dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and transport allowance, among others.
CISF Salary
By the Pay Level-4 structure, the salary for the candidates employed at the post of CISF head constable ranges from Rs 25, 500 to Rs 81,100 in addition to the other allowances applicable to employees of the Central Government.
