NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Law and Justice is set to close the application window for the Law Ministry Internship 2023 today, August 22. Students who are pursuing a Bachelor of Legum Baccalaureus can apply for the LLB internship programme at the Department of Legal Affairs (DOLA) through the official website at legalaffairs.gov.in.
The last date to apply for the programme is today, August 22, at 5:30 PM so candidates who are interested and haven’t applied yet can apply for the same before the time runs out. According to the ministry, candidates having advanced knowledge of computers such as MS Office, infographics, adobe, etc. will be given preference.
Eligibility
Indian LLB students who have passed the second year of a 3-year law degree and the third year of a 5-year law degree programme and those who have completed these degrees from a recognised law university are eligible to apply for the internship programme.
Duration of Internship
The law internship will be of a duration of one month and will begin on the first working day of each month unless specified by the ministry. Interns will be shortlisted on the basis of a written exam held by the Indian Law Institute (ILI), Delhi.
How to apply for Law Ministry Internship 2023?
Step 1: Go to the official website at legalaffairs.gov.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link given for the Application.
Step 3: Fill out the application form and upload all the necessary documents.
Step 4: Download the confirmation page and take its printout for further use.

Candidates will be required to get the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective college or university and submit it. Those who have completed their law degree need not submit the NOC and will need to upload the final year certificate only as per the official notification.
At the conclusion of the internship programme, interns will be required to submit both a monthly report and the research work they were assigned within their respective departments.
Upon successful completion of the internship programme with a minimum attendance of 90% and feedback from the respective authority, the interns will be granted internship certificates, as stated in an official announcement. Additionally, it was mentioned that an honorarium of Rs 1000 may be provided upon the conclusion of the internship.
