Maharashtra HSC Exam 2025: The Board has introduced strict security measures, including Section 144, drones, and facial recognition to ensure fair exams.

Maharashtra 12th Board Exam 2025: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will commence the Maharashtra HSC Class 12 Board Exam 2025 today, February 11. Over 15 lakh students, including 8,10,348 boys, 6,94,652 girls, and 37 transgender individuals, are set to take part in the exams, which will be held across 3,373 centres statewide.
In order to maintain the integrity of the examination process, the Maharashtra Board has implemented Section 144 at all exam centres. This law prohibits the assembly of four or more individuals within the vicinity, helping to prevent any unfair practices. The authorities have also ordered the closure of the Xerox centres located within a 500-meter radius of the exam centres during the examination period.
Maharashtra HSC Class 12th Exam Timing
Maharashtra HSC Board Exams 2025 are scheduled to be held from February 11 to March 18, 2025, with specific online assessments for subjects such as Information Technology and General Knowledge scheduled between March 12 and 18.
The exams will be conducted in two shifts: the morning shift from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and the afternoon shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Students are required to arrive at their respective exam centres at least 30 minutes before the start of their exams.
Exam Guidelines And Security Measures
District administrations will monitor the centres with drone cameras to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of exams, particularly in sensitive areas. Video recording will take place outside the exam centres, and flying and sitting squads will be deployed across all centres to deter cheating.
Facial Recognition Systems will be used to verify the identity of exam centre directors and supervisors. In addition, official identity cards will be issued to all exam coordinators by the divisional board.
Students are required to bring their Maharashtra HSC Class 12 admit card and school ID to the exam hall. In case of any malpractice, offenders will be subject to the provisions of the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act 1982, which treats the use of unfair means as a non-bailable offence.
The board has also allocated seats for various streams, with 7,68,967 students appearing for Science, 3,80,410 for Arts, and 3,19,439 for Commerce. A total of 31,735 students will appear for Vocational courses, while 4,486 students are registered for the Technical Science (ITI) paper.
With strict security and surveillance measures in place, the Maharashtra HSC Class 12 exams are set to proceed smoothly, ensuring a fair and transparent examination process for all students.
