Maharshi Dayanand University troupe wins 12 prizes in Bengaluru – Times of India

Rohtak: The cultural troupe of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Rohtak performed brilliantly at the All India Inter University Youth Festival held at Jain University, Bengaluru from February 24 to 28, and bagged awards in 12 events and won trophies in three categories.
Director Youth Welfare Dr. Jagbir Rathi said that the MDU team won the overall trophy in Fine Arts events and won the runner-up trophy in theater events. It also managed to win second runner-up in literary events.
MDU team won first prize in a one-act play, mime, rangoli, mehandi and clay modelling. It received second prize in skit, folk dance, debate, photography, on-the-spot painting, and collage.
MDU team got 3rd prize in the Elocution event.
The team in charge of this varsity team was Dr. Pratap Rathi, assistant director (Youth Welfare). It is noteworthy that the MDU team participated in 12 events and won prizes in all the events. Dr. Jagbir Rathi said that this was a unique record of the MDU team.
MDU vice-chancellor Professor Rajbir Singh has heartily congratulated the MDU team for this excellent performance. VC said that the student and youth welfare team deserves congratulations for this wonderful achievement of the MDU cultural troupe. Dean of Student Welfare Prof. Rajkumar has congratulated Team MDU for this wonderful achievement.
