BSEB 10th Result 2025: Inspired by her mother’s cancer battle, Bihar class 10 topper Anshu Kumari aims to become an oncologist.

Anshu Kumari from West Champaran has emerged as the Bihar topper in the BSEB Matric Exam 2025 securing 489 marks. Despite facing numerous challenges, including financial struggles, Anshu’s dedication to her studies, along with her resourceful approach to learning, has earned her a place at the top.

Anshu Kumari, daughter of Bhupendra Shah and Savita Devi, hails from Gahiri Panchayat of Bihar’s Nautan block. Anshu’s journey to the top is a testament to the power of hard work and the unwavering support of her family. Her father, a plumber who works in Nainital, Uttarakhand, has always prioritized his daughters’ education, even amid financial hardships.

A Journey Fueled By Hard Work

Anshu’s success story is not just about books and classrooms; it’s about using technology to bridge gaps in learning. While she studied at Bharatiya Inter College Gahiri, it was her elder sister, Pooja, who played a crucial role in Anshu’s academic journey. Pooja, a teacher herself, encouraged Anshu to use YouTube as an additional learning tool when she faced difficulties in understanding certain subjects.

“Whenever I faced a problem after school, I used YouTube to solve it and move forward,” says Anshu. This approach not only helped her in clearing doubts but also gave her the confidence to keep progressing. “The tips I got from my sister to use YouTube effectively made a huge difference in my studies,” Anshu adds.

Anshu’s Dream: A Cancer Doctor To Help Others

Anshu’s dreams are as big as her achievements. The young girl, who has faced the tough realities of life, aspires to become a doctor. More specifically, she wants to specialize in cancer treatment, a field close to her heart. Anshu’s mother was once diagnosed with cancer, and after undergoing treatment, she has now fully recovered. It was this experience that motivated Anshu to pursue a career in oncology.

“My mother’s battle with cancer inspired me to become a cancer doctor,” Anshu shares emotionally. “I want to help others like my mother and give them the hope and treatment they deserve.”

Family’s Unwavering Support: The Pillar Of Anshu’s Success

Anshu credits much of her success to the guidance and support of her elder sister, Pooja. “My sister is a teacher, and she taught me many things that helped me achieve this result,” Anshu says gratefully. “I will study biology in my intermediate years and then prepare for NEET to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor.”

Anshu’s father, Bhupendra Sah, is overwhelmed with pride for his daughter. “I am so happy with her success. I am proud of her for reaching this milestone,” he says. Anshu’s mother, Savita Devi, who has always dreamed of providing quality education for her children, now sees her dreams coming true.

A Family That Values Education Above All

Anshu’s family, despite facing financial hardships, has always placed education at the forefront. “Even with limited resources, we have always made sure that our children have the opportunity to study,” says Savita Devi. Anshu has three sisters and one brother, and her mother has always dreamed of giving them the best education possible. Today, with Anshu’s achievement, that dream is becoming a reality.
