Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has commenced the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) 2025 registration process today, February 24, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for MH SET on the official website of SPPU, at setexam.unipune.ac.in. The application window will close on March 13, 2025.
MH SET 2025: Steps To Apply
Step 1: Go to the official website at setexam.unipune.ac.in
Step 2: Search and click on the registration link on the homepage.
Step 3: Then register and proceed with the application form.
Step 4: Fill out the form as asked with the required details.
Step 5: Upload all the essential documents and pay the necessary fees.
Step 6: Cross-check all the details and submit the form.
MH SET 2025: Application Fee
For general category candidates, the application fee is Rs 800. While for the reserved category candidates, the registration fee is Rs 650.
MH SET 2025: Exam Schedule And Pattern
The MH SET exam is scheduled for Sunday, June 15, 2025. The exam consists of two papers, both objective-type. Paper 1 evaluates reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness, with each question carrying two marks. Paper 2 focuses on the candidate’s chosen subject and includes 100 objective-type questions, each worth two marks. There is no negative marking.
Candidates who clear the cut-off will be considered for the Assistant Professor position. The cutoff scores for Paper 1 and Paper 2 are 40 per cent for General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). Candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Disability (PwD), Transgender, and Orphans must score 35 per cent overall in both exam papers.
Conducted by SPPU, the MH SET exam determines eligibility for assistant professor positions across Maharashtra’s universities and colleges. Post-graduation in a relevant subject is mandatory for appearing in the exam. Candidates who have already qualified for SET in a particular subject earlier cannot reappear in the same subject.
