What Is MHT CET Exam?

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. It is held annually for admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Agriculture offered by various colleges across Maharashtra.

MHT CET is divided into two major groups:

  • PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) – for students seeking admission to engineering and technology programmes.

The exam tests candidates on subjects studied in Classes 11 and 12, based on the Maharashtra State Board syllabus. It is typically conducted in computer-based mode and is open to both state and non-state board students, though domicile candidates often receive reservation benefits.
