‘Move Over IIT’: Sanjeev Bikhchandani Praises DU’s SSCBS Students For Gold Medal Feat At IIM Ahmedabad – News18

Sanjeev Bikhchandani, the founder and executive vice chairman of Info Edge India, on Monday took to social media to celebrate the academic achievements of three students from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS) who were awarded gold medals at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) 60th convocation.

Info Edge India, the parent company of brands such as Naukri.com, Jeevansathi.com, and 99acres, was founded by Bikhchandani, who is also the co-founder of Ashoka University.

Bikhchandani shared a message he received from a colleague in an internal WhatsApp group, highlighting the achievement of the three SSCBS students—Abhi Bansal, Ishaan Jain, and Aanchal Chada—who all received gold medals for their academic excellence.

“I received the following message from a colleague on an internal WhatsApp group. All three gold medallists at IIMA in the class of 2025 are from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies,” Bikhchandani wrote in his post.

He praised SSCBS, a prominent institution for management studies affiliated with the University of Delhi, for producing these outstanding students and added, “Quite remarkable. Well done SSCBS.”

Bikhchandani also playfully challenged the long-standing dominance of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in the field of education in the country, saying, “Move over IIT. Make way for the new kid on the block.”

The IIMA convocation, which took place on March 29, celebrated the graduation of 630 students, including the three gold medalists from SSCBS. Dr. S. Somanath, former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was the chief guest for the event.

IIMA also congratulated the three SSCBS students on their success, sharing their names and achievements on social media. In a post on X, the institute wrote, “Hearty congratulations, Abhi Bansal, Ishaan Jain, and Aanchal Chada on receiving Gold Medals in recognition of your outstanding academic achievements in the PGP Class of 2025 at the 60th Convocation of #IIMA!”
