INDORE: Hundreds of written qualified candidates have on Monday staged a sit-in on main gate of Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission over delay in organising interviews of four recruitment examinations.
The protesting candidates also submitted a memorandum with a demand to hold interviews of dental surgeon, veterinary surgeon state engineering services and assistant manager examinations as early as possible.
In a memorandum, the students stated that it had been over four months, when the commission declared results of the written examination.
MPPSC OSD R Panchbhai told TOI, “In a written examination, followed by interview, there is a three-layer process of scrutiny, which is on in case of these examinations.”
“In case of examination, where selection is made directly on the basis of interview, the process is shorter. The commission also has a limited number of board members to conduct interviews and there are so many examinations, whose results are declared together,” said Panchbhai.
“The commission will very soon conduct an interview of examinations after scrutiny of documents,” Panchbhai said.
The commission on October 10 declared 227 candidates as qualified for 193 posts of dental surgeon under two list formula. Of those 227, 124 are unreserved category candidates, 32 are scheduled caste, 10 are scheduled tribe, 60 are other backward class and 18 are economically weaker section (EWS), showed results.
In case of state engineering service-2021, the commission on October 28 last year declared 3,019 candidates qualified cumulatively for 493 posts, which comprises 446 posts of civil, 36 for electrical and 11 for mechanical engineer post.
Similarly, the candidates are also waiting for their interview to happen along with veterinary surgeon and assistant manager examination.
