The National Board of Examinations In Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced that the NEET-MDS 2025 question paper will be divided into two time-bound parts — Part A will feature 100 questions with an allotted time of 75 minutes, and Part B will have 140 questions and 105 minutes to complete. Each question carries four and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Candidates will not be able to proceed to the next part until they have completed the given section within the allotted time. The questions for the next part will appear automatically once the allotted time for the previous part is over. “This measure has been implemented to enhance the security and sanctity of the exams in light of emerging threats during the examination process,” the NBEMS said in its official notice. Besides, candidates will not be allowed to modify their answers once the allotted time is completed.

“Accordingly, the question paper for NEET-MDS 2025 will be divided into two time-bound Parts (A & B) in the question paper, Part A having 100 questions and 75 minutes of time allotted and Part B having 140 questions and 105 minutes of time allotted. Candidates would be restricted to proceed to the next part until completion of the allotted time of the previous part and candidates would not be allowed to review the questions/ modify the responses of a part after the completion of the allotted time of that part. Questions of the next part will start automatically after the completion of the allotted time of the previous part,” reads the official notice.

The entrance exam is conducted by NBE for admission to all postgraduate dental courses offered by institutions in India. This year, the exam is scheduled for April 19, and admit cards will be issued on April 15.
