NEET UG Answer Key 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the answer key for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025 anytime soon. Although the official date and time for the release have not yet been announced, candidates who appeared for the examination can soon access the provisional answer key on the official website — neet.nta.nic.in.
Once the answer key is published, candidates will be able to compare their responses with the official answers and get an estimate of their score. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you download the NEET UG 2025 answer key and calculate your marks.
Steps To Download NEET UG 2025 Answer Key
Step 1: Visit the official NEET UG website: neet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link labeled “NEET UG 2025 Answer Key.”
Step 3: Enter your application number, date of birth, and the security pin provided on the screen.
Step 4: Click the “Submit” button and the answer key will appear on your screen.
Step 5: Download and save the document for future reference.
How To Calculate NEET UG 2025 Score?
After downloading the official answer key, follow these steps to estimate your score:
Step 1: Cross-check your answers with those in the answer key.
Step 2: Use the NEET UG 2025 marking scheme:
+4 marks for each correct answer
-1 mark for each incorrect answer
0 marks for unanswered questions
Step 3: Multiply the number of correct answers by 4.
Step 4: Multiply the number of incorrect answers by 1.
Step 5: Subtract the total of incorrect marks from the total of correct marks:
Estimated Score = (Number of correct answers × 4) – (Number of incorrect answers × 1)
This calculated score will give you a fair idea of your performance before the official results are declared.
The NEET UG 2025 exam was conducted on May 4 for admission to undergraduate medical and dental programs across India. This year, nearly 22 lakh candidates registered for the exam, out of which 20.8 lakh appeared — marking an attendance rate of 91.4%. This is a significant dip compared to last year’s attendance of 97.6%.
