NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has cautioned NEET UG 2025 aspirants against rumours and misleading information about the exam. In a post on microblogging site, X, the Agency claimed that they have made all the preparations of NEET UG 2025 for safe and secure conduct of the exam. The Agency with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre also took cases against some portals through its ‘Suspicious Claims Portal on NEET UG 2025’.

The Agency has initiated actions against over 165 Telegram channels and more than 32 Instagram accounts disseminating false information about the exam, read the NTA notice posted on X.

NEET UG 2025 Today: Important documents to carry, dress code, items prohibited
The National Testing Agency today (May 4) is conducting the NEET UG 2025 exam between 2 pm to 5 pm in a single shift. Candidates will have to reach and enter the exam centre by 1.30 pm on May 4. The NEET UG exam centre details are mentioned on the admit cards released at neet.nta.nic.in. The candidate will have to check and ensure that the NEET UG 2025 test booklet contains as many pages as are written on the top of the cover page.

NEET: UG registrants over the years
This year, as claimed by Agency, 22.7 lakh candidates are set to appear for the exam. For the last two years, over 20 lakh students are registering for the exam. In 2024, as many as 24,06,079 candidates registered for NEET UG, while in 2023, it was 20,87,462. In 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019, the number of registered candidates in NEET UG are 18,72,343, 16,14,777, 15,97,435 and 15,19,375 respectively.
NEET UG paper leak: Action against over 250 students, aspirants for ‘unfair practices’
A day ahead of the exam, mock drills are being conducted across exam centres. The mock drills are expected to help test preparedness and security at these centres in terms of the functionality of mobile signal jammers, biometric authentication systems, and availability of manpower for frisking, according to sources.
