NEET UG 2025 exam day guidelines: Important documents required to carry

Candidates appearing for NEET UG 2025 must carry the following documents to the examination hall:

–Printed copy of the Admit Card: This must have the candidate’s passport-size photograph pasted on it, which should be the same as the one uploaded during the application process.

–One passport-size photograph: Identical to the one uploaded in the application form, to be pasted on the attendance sheet at the exam center.

–Original and valid photo identification: Any one of PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, or Class 12 admit card with a photograph.

–PwBD certificate (if applicable): Candidates claiming relaxation under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category must carry the certificate issued by the competent authority.

Candidates without these documents, especially the admit card and valid photo ID, will not be allowed to enter the examination hall, as per NTA rules.

NEET UG 2025 exam day guidelines: Dress code

The NTA has prescribed a strict dress code to maintain exam integrity and facilitate smooth security checks:

–Clothing: Candidates should wear light-colored, casual clothes with half sleeves. Heavy clothes and long sleeves are strictly prohibited.

–Footwear: Shoes are not allowed inside the exam hall. Candidates should wear slippers or sandals with low heels.

–Cultural/Religious dress: Candidates wearing customary or religious attire must report to the exam center at least one hour before the last reporting time (by 12:30 pm) to allow sufficient time for inspection and frisking.

–Accessories: Female candidates are advised not to wear brooches, flowers, badges, or jeans. Jewelry such as earrings, nose rings, pendants, and other ornamental accessories should be avoided.

–Other: Watches, bracelets, and any metallic items are not permitted.

NEET UG 2025 Exam Day Guidelines: List of prohibited items

Candidates are strictly forbidden from carrying the following items inside the examination hall:

–Any printed or written notes, bits of paper, or any form of study material.

–Geometry box, pencil box, plastic pouches, pens, scales, writing pads, erasers, log tables, calculators, electronic pens, or scanners.

–Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, cameras, or any communication devices.

–Wallets, handbags, belts, caps, watches, bracelets, or any metallic ornaments.

–Any food items (opened or packed) and water bottles.

Any other item that could be used for unfair means, including microchips or hidden communication devices.

Possession of any of these items can lead to disqualification and cancellation of candidature.

NEET UG 2025 Exam Day Guidelines candidates need to adhere to

–Candidates must reach the examination center well before 1:30 pm; no entry will be allowed after this time.

–Candidates must sit only in their allotted seats; appearing from a different seat or room will result in cancellation.

–No candidate can leave the exam hall before the conclusion of the test without handing over the OMR sheet to the invigilator.

–Candidates must sign the attendance sheet twice: once at the start and once while submitting the answer sheet.

–The test booklet should be checked to ensure it contains the correct number of pages as mentioned on the cover.

–Unfair means or malpractice will lead to strict action under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.

Candidates should also thoroughly read all instructions on the admit card and follow them strictly to avoid any last-minute difficulties at the exam hall.
