NEET UG 2025: Looking at past year trends, in 2024, the application process took place from February 14 to March 16, 2024. The exam was held on May 5.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is gearing up to conduct the National Eligibility and Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 on May 4, 2025. Candidates looking forward to study undergraduate medical programmes across colleges in India are eagerly awaiting the commencement of the registration process, which is anticipated to begin anytime soon. However, as of now, NTA has not announced any official date yet.

Looking at past year trends, in 2024, the application process took place from February 14 to March 16, 2024. The exam was held on May 5. Whereas in 2023, the registrations took place between March 6 and April 6, 2023, and the examination was conducted on May 7, 2023.

NEET UG: Eligibility Criteria

As per the eligibility criteria of 2024, candidates must be at least 17 years old on December 31, at the time of admission in order to be eligible for NEET UG. Candidates must have taken the Class 12 test from an accredited board, covering the core areas of English, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

NEET UG 2025: Steps To Apply

Aspirants can follow the below steps to register for the NEET UG 2025 entrance examination, once the link is activated:

Step 1. Visit the official website at neet.nta.nic.in

Step 2. Locate and click on the ‘Registration’ link on the homepage.

Step 3. Enter valid personal and contact information for registration.

Step 4. Log in and complete the application form.

Step 5. Upload the required documents.

Step 6. Check all the information carefully and make the required changes.

Step 7. Pay the registration fee and click on ‘Submit’ to conclude the process.

Step 8. Download and save the confirmation page for further use.

Following the completion of the NEET UG 2024 application procedure, NTA will open a window for students to edit their applications as required. Candidates will have the option to modify their uploaded documents, exam city, gender, and other fields at a later time. It is recommended that students continue to check the official website for updates.

The agency has made several changes in the NEET UG exam pattern 2025. The decision was taken following last year’s paper leak and cheating cases. This year, the NTA NEET UG exam will be conducted in pen-paper mode in a single shift for a duration of three hours.
